The Vest mine, which supplies Permian Basin frac sand, is named after the Vest family who homesteaded in Winkler County, Texas and built a successful ranch whose legacy has lasted for generations and continues today.

This large-scale facility has a reserve base of over 223MM tons of high-quality Permian Regional frac sand and has one of the largest mining capacities in the Permian Basin. With 32,000 tons of storage and eight dedicated truck-load out lanes, this plant loads ~700 trucks per day for customer well sites throughout the Permian Basin.

For increased reliability, a sister facility, the Iron Oak Energy El Dorado mine, is located within 10 miles of Vest with a third mine, Iron Oak Energy Kermit, located within 20 driving miles. The combination of these facilities offer over 13M tons of production capacity in the Kermit frac sand corridor.
