Big Oak Mine

Located 20 miles south of downtown San Antonio and 50 miles from the heart of South Texas completion activity, this mine was added to the Iron Oak Energy portfolio in 2025. Its proximity to the Bigfoot facility in Poteet, Texas strengthens operational efficiency through enhanced production capacity and customer service.

Together, Iron Oak Energy’s three production sites across the Eagle Ford Shale create the region’s largest frac sand supply platform, offering highly reliable operations and strategic geographic diversity. While the acquired assets primarily serve the oil and gas sector, they also provide construction, sports, and industrial sand, broadening Iron Oak’s commercial reach beyond energy markets.
